Stacey Huston

Bob, I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. I will keep you in my prayers!

I just stopped by to get a few recipes. I still miss reading her posts. I am so glad the blog is still up.

Bob - It's sad that this has to be my first post. But I wanted to say that I enjoyed reading Sher's blog for the past year. I am happy to see that her site and recipes are still up. Sher's spirit definitely lives on.

Good post.

Bob, this morning I was googling a soup and I luckily was pointed toward one of Sherry's posting and was immediately intrigued and glued to reading all her other food posts, when I clicked on the homepage to add her as one of fav. sites, I saw the very sad and shocking post. I know just be reading her blogs she had a beautiful, loving and cheerful spirit - I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thanks for keeping her site up, as her spirit is alive and keeps touching others thru this blog. Please know that many avid and new readers will be remembering Sherry during this time , cooking her creations.

Dear Bob,
I just discovered Sherry's blog today and I was so thrilled. I love her recipes and pictures. She had a great recipe for some Wild Rice Soup and her Sweet Potato recipe I am going to make in a few days for Thanksgiving. I just discovered her blog and I can't believe she's gone. I feel so lucky her blog lives on and that I stumbled across it. My thoughts are with you this Thanksgiving. I will be thinking of her when we eat our sweet potatoes.

A great resource - many thanks!

I am so sorry to read that she has passed. I just found her blog a few days ago, a old post actually and had not had a chance to visit the most recent post, I was shocked to see this. I know its been some months now, but I would still like to say how sorry I am.

I am so sorry for your loss. She'll be missed.

Good bye, my friend. It's taken a long time to digest that you're gone. I still can't believe it. And I have a photo on my refrigerator of you, Nancy and I dining at Morton's perhaps just 2 years ago. And, of course, I remember the summer we spent planning to go to, eating at and talking about having been to Thomas Keller's 5 star eatery, The Laundry, in Napa. Now you've passed, Nancy's on the east coast and I'm rereading your blog. Although I still don't cook! I can't imagine you resting - wherever you've gone. But don't give them too much hell. Give them time to get to know you first. Then give them hell! Love, Helene
PS: Hug all our beloved animals on the other side for me.

I check in often too..I figure you are cooking and writing just like always. I use your recipes all the time. Miss you!

Blessings to your family.

i am really impresed it.

I keep this link on my blog and on my desk top and I stop by from time to time to make sure it is still here. Funny how people you have never met can effect you - but I miss Sher's stories, her recipes. She had such a presence here in online - she must have really been something to know in person.

Thank you for not closing this out, for allowing us to come back, to say hello, to re-read.

Blogs are good for every one where we get lots of information for any topics nice job keep it up !!!

This weekend "Weekend Cat Blogging" will be held at Paulchen's Food Blog at http://foodblog.paulchens.org/?p=2430 in honor of Sher. So along with my WCB post of my cats I thought I would make another one of Sher's wonderful recipes. It doesn't seem possible that it has been one year and I am always happy to see that her blog is still here! Thinking of you, Sher, and prayers for your family.

It's been a year and the void you left is so very big. Miss you.

This is very sad. I have been gone awhile and only to come back to this sad news.

Sherry thought me entering in the Memphis In May BBQ contest was so cool. I discovered my passion for "food blogging" through Sherry's talented photography and writing... We will indeed miss her a lot and it won't be same without her!

Thank you for sharing and Thank Sherry for letting me be a part of her journey.

I am so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of sherry. Thank you for keeping her blog posted. What a blessing it has been to me. I suffer from anemia as well, and the daily struggle to get enough iron in...Blessings & may you find comfort every day...

I discovered her butternut squash recipe on here a year ago and make it all the time. It's absolutely delicious. I'm very, very sorry to hear she's gone, and yet so grateful her recipes are living on.

It's hard to believe that in a few months it will be two years since Sherry's passing. I still drop by to look at and use her fabulous recipes. It was about his time in 2008 that she was dealing with the anemia....if I recall correctly.

I'm glad you have left Sher's blog online, for all of her friends to enjoy, and to recall her sweet spirit. I'm going to try a new recipe this week.

It's been two years today and I still go check out recipes. You are missed Sherry.

I cannot believe it has been 2 years since you have left this Earth. You are still missed dear food and cat blogger. Lots of good thoughts to your friends and family who must miss you greatly.

Jimmy Chien

Hi there,

My name is Jimmy Chien & I only bumped into this blog today. I am sorry to learn what happened to Sherry. The reason for my email is to ask for permission to use a few food pictures to adorn or anchor the blog I am seriously like to start. My blog is about appreciating the little great things that life has taught & brought me. I suppose "food for thoughts" will be an appropriate but not so interesting way of describing it. I haven't name the blog yet. Please let me know if it is okay to use a few food pictures from WDYE. I am more than happy to show you my blog once it's done. Thank you.

I was lookng for info on rearing baby squirrels, and came upon this wonderful site,My heart goes out to Sherrys husband what a wonderful woman she was.
