Well, the tomato plants are gone! Pulled up. Cast aside after all their service. Just like that. Kinda scary!
Jelly over at I Got Two Shoes is hosting Weekend Cat Blogging this week. She lives with that big stud Kamikaze. Meow! Stop by and see how Jelly is doing. She's been a little under the weather.
So, now that the tomato plants are gone we'll plant our Winter garden. But, I think mom is kinda late on that
Well, I'll just mark this nice shovel.
Look at the cool Mexican sage growing in my garden. It's huge and the hummingbirds hang out there. They're mean. One of them attacked my dad while he was trying to fix their feeder. There's gratitude for you!
And here's the pineapple sage.
See you next weekend! Go see Jelly.
Oh Upsie, you're so gorgeous! Kamikaze wants to share a schnitzel with you!

Dear Upsie,
You look so cute in the garden, as always. I would not like to have to care for your long fur afterwards, though.
I have always called that bush a Butterfly Bush - I am glad to learn of its real name. We love them here in Virginia, and all the shelter cats look out and watch the butterflies.
Love,
Bonnie

hi upsies, you look so disgruntled. I know squrrels in the mist and your baron summer garden. life can be be so upsetting but i'm sure u get lots of hugs so i dont feel one bit sorry for you.

Thanks for the tour, Upsie. I hope your mom's winter garden is as good a playground for you as her summer one!

You must have Rufous hummingbirds out there, like we do. They can be quite territorial and nasty when they wanna be!
Maybe next year, I'll have the foresight to plant a winter garden. At least my kale still seems to be going strong!

Sher, I never knew sage until I lived in California. It truly is my favorite plant, love all the varieties and the way your fingers smell when you rub them against the leaves. Beautiful garden.

Upsie has THE MOST expressive face I have ever seen on a cat! I'm surprised that the hummingbirds dare to come around!

Upsie, you are a great patrol cat. Maybe when I grow up, you can teach me how to protect our garden!
