So, I went out this morning at the crack of dawn, which is my favorite time. After it was clear that the evil pigeons weren't going to visit the backyard, I found a really cool spot deep in the bushes--and I stayed there all day. Later in the day Mom called and called me, but I refused to come. She shook the Pounce Kitty Treats can, but I just didn't feel like leaving my retreat. Boy, mom was getting so upset, like I was dead or something. She's always afraid I'm going to explore the neighborhood and get eaten by coyotes. Do I get upset when they go off to the wine county or Lake Tahoe for the whole day? No! She was getting that shrill edge to her voice when she called me. I hate that--it's so embarassing. So, I finally came out and instead of leaping for joy, she said, "Where have you been? Look at your coat!"
So, I just tuned her out and sniffed the new flowers.
We're still waiting for Clare to come back and head up Weekend Cat Blogging. Still no word on who is doing WCB Roundup.
Have a nice weekend! I'm not telling anyone where my secret place is.
what a glamour puss. that first picture with the backlighting of the sun, reveals your roaring natural beauty.
wow!

Bustopher does this a lot and I often think he is just lurking under a nearby bush, listening to me and smirking "i'll come when i am darn good and ready'

upsie, don't look at us like that. you are a *mess*! heehee, posing behind the flowers like that though, so adorable how can we stay mad at you? you should be grounded for being so defiant to the rattle of the pounce can though...:)

Upsie,
I know my boys have been known to scare me to death when I can't find them outside. Give your mom extra hugs to make her feel better, ok?
;o)

Oh Upsie! You should never worry your mother again, no matter how much fun that may be. She loves you too much!

Naughty Upsie! Mummy must be scared she has lost you. You must have melted her heart with yr glamour shots.

Upsie, you know, all mommies start to panick at the idea of losing their furry babies! In any case, you came back safely. But look at you fur, where did you go to get it so dirty and messed up, he, he ;-)? The poor mother of yours surely had to spend many precious minutes combing it in order to make it look so nice!
You are a beautiful and glamorous madonna who makes my heart beat every single time I see your cute little cheeky face!!!

Upsie, all moms react that way. You're just going to have to grin and bear it.

Gorgeous Glam pic, Upsie! You somehow make the Grunge Look work for you! Stay out of trouble though, we'd hate to have you kittynapped.

Hi everyone. Upsie is very mad that I haven't answered her comments, especially since I've been spending most of my time doing some wildlife rehabilitating. She can't see the point of that!
Whaleshamen,
Upsie says thank you very much! She's always telling me I don't light her properly!
Bonnie,
Thanks for hosting last week--you did a great job!
kate,
Yes, Upsie does that too. Sometime I have to turn on the sprinklers to get her to leave her hiding place!
Jeff,
She sure does shed a lot at the beginning of Summer.
Aria,
I made her do a "time out"---which she ignored totally!
tbirdonawire & Kristi,
Upsie can't seem to understand that I have reasons to worry about her!! She isn't allowed out at night and she doesn't "get" the reasons' why!
Boo_licious,
When she doesn't come when I call, I always think she has jumped the fence (even though she hasn't done that in years).
Rosa,
I must say, Upsie's fur can collect a huge amount of debris! Lucky for me that she loves being combed! Upsie is soooo happy that you like her pictures! She lives for that! And tuna.
Christine,
Unfortunately, Bob tries to play Good Cop and tells me that I'm mean to make her come in. Upsie then hears that and it destroys my attempts to have her keep to her curfew.......
kross-eyed kitty,
Yes, Upsie loves Grunge--one if her favorite groups is Pearl Jam. She loves her some Eddie Vedder.
Sarah,
Thank you for doing hosting duties!!!
