Tupelo honey - as in Tupelo, Mississippi? What is that exactly?

sher

I too thought it meant the honey was gathered in Mississippi. Actually, the honey's name is from the Ogeche Tupelo gum tree found in Northwest Florida. It's a very special honey, hard to produce and collect. Chemically it's supposed to be a bit different and supposedly is safe for some diabetics to eat. And it does not become granular, like other types of honey. Oh--and it's delicious! There's a post about it in my November archives.

Boy oh boy Sher!! How about you come to my house in March and make me a birthday cake!! Tell Bob happy birthday from a former classmate! Notice that I didn't say "old" classmate....

sher

Us "old"? Never!!! If I visit on your birthday, I hope we're better behaved than when we were teenagers.
