Comments

As much as I know that's Sher writing, Upsie really does have such a great voice! I am overcome sometimes with the incredible personalities our "animals" develop.

Oh that grass thing! When do they ever learn??!

The sunshine looks great. Our past week was very nice, but our weekend will bring lots of snow. Bustopher is NOT happy,

Am glad the sun is up and Upsie can enjoy herself in the garden. Hope the squirrel gets better.

Hooray for sunlight! And I never realized that there were ground/tree squirrels, I'd thought they were all one big happy clan!

Upsie - such a furry barfy kitty! I like the squirrel, but wonder where his face is!

I love the idea of Upsie fur lined bird's nests! You remind me of my dearly departed Sam who's combings would yield at least 2 cats worth of fur. LOL, I hope you don't have birds following you around trying to snitch tufts for their nests.

Upsie you look great this week!
Hope the squirrel gets better soon.

have a nice weekend!

Ha! Fun times. What a good idea, putting Upsie's fur out for the birds' nests...

One of these days, Colin and Trixie will rejoin Upsie in WCB, I promise!

Leaving hair and other stuff out on the bushes for the birds is a really good idea!

It's ok Upsie, grass has the same effect on me :o) Your new roomate you can't see is awful cute tucked in his blanket and good for you for giving back to the birds who give you so much entertainment. It's good to give back.

Hooray for sunshine!

When we brush Lyra and Sasha, we end up with about a cat's worth of fur. I'd never thought about leaving it out for the birds. The idea of birds lining their nests with cats' fur is a funny one, but it is so soft.

Upsie, I love your intimidating looks! You seem to have a very strong character just like my Maruschka...

Your mom is very kind to think of the birds...

LOL!! I love that "You know what I did afterwards! Barf!" Aww Upsie, you bring joy to me on a dreary day up here in the Pac NW! ((((HUGS))))

Upsie, so kind of you to share your excess fur with the birds. That's very big of you, considering your natural predatory tendencies. And I'm glad you were able to hit the patio again to get some sun! Send some to the North East please!

Those birds are lucky to be resting on your fur! It would have looked funny in the bush though! :D What an adorable cat!

Oh Upsie, I did not know there were 2 types of squirrels. All I know is that there are squirrels I want to chase, but there is always a window in the way!

OK Upsie, cat fur for a birds nest? How about some bird feathers in my tummy? No?

Come visit my blog and see if you have any ideas how to help Little Black Kitty. He needs help, a home and lots of pets and good food.

Tanna,

I agree. They have different personalities, just like people. I have two birds and they are very different too.

kate,

Well, the sunshine is gone here! It's very dreary and rainy. Poor Bustopher! Upsie has never experienced snow. I can only imagine how upset she would be---and blame it on me.

boo-licious,

Sigh. The sun is gone. Too bad for us. But, the squirrel is better.

s'kat,

Oh, I never knew about ground squirrels until I came out here. They are totally different. The live differently--and they act differently too.

Jen,

I took better picture of Mr, Ground Squirrel and will show them. He's a character.

Butta Buns,

Oh, Iove the idea of the birds trying to grab Upsie's fur! I think I could comb for hours and would still get big balls of fur from Upsie!

Kasim & Othello,

That's for your good wishes! Hope all is great for you two.

Lisa,

Yes, Upsie is "paying in forward"...she wants to go good things for birds. HA!

Joy T,

Yes, I'm trying to teach Upsie the concept of giving back. Hmm, do you think Upsie is thinking that as the birds take her fur for their nests, she could grab them? Oh no! I can't believe she would think such things!

Kimberly,

There is a woman at the Farmer's Market who makes yarn from her cat's fur! It's very soft too! I've often thought of doing that with Upsie's fur.

Rosa,

Yes, I thinks he and Maruschka would make quite a team!!!! I just wonder if the birds know it's cat fur!

Jennifer,

Hey, it's dreary here too! One day it's sunny and the next it's cold, wet and dark! Sigh! If it rains, it would be nice like it was when I lived in the Gulf Coast. It rains and the sun shines at the same time.

Kristi,

I think the sun did head your way, because we sure don't have any of it now. I don't know what will happen to that sunshine as it heads your way..........

Katy,

I think they must have a very comfortable nest with Upsie's fur! And Upsie says "Thank you".

Kitikata-san,

What a wonderful mom you have to rescue that sweet cat. I hope it finds a home soon. I think someone will reach out to him, he has much love on his side!

And yes, there are two types of squirrels. Well, three--if you count flying squirrels!

Feliz was very happy you dropped by. The birds must love their nesting material... although... does it give them nightmares do you think? ;-D Just as well you can't play with the squirrel... he sounds lethal!
cya round

upsie you look unbearably cute in that last picture. grass eater u.
